TEAM TRAINING
Our Team-Training Services can help your team, no matter what level or age, improve individually, and gain a better understanding of soccer. Our Professional Staff have a wealth of playing and coaching experience, and are experts at communicating and ‘painting a picture’ that all players at all levels can understand.
Our Services include:
- Recreation Teams/Programs - Small and Large Sided (8 v 8 and 11 v 11)
- Travel Teams/Programs - From U7 to College
- Game Day Coaching – Have one of our fully licensed and extremely experienced game day staff train your team during the week, and instruct and advise your team during games/tournaments
SPECIALIZED TRAINING
Our Specialized Training Services can help Individuals and Small Groups gain a better understanding in a more concentrated environment.
Our Services include:
- 1 on 1 Private Training – 60 or 90 minute sessions, these can be designed to cover any and all technical aspects of the game, and provide invaluable 1 on 1 time with a Professional Trainer.
- 1 on 4 Small Group Training- 60 or 90 minute sessions, designed specifically for the groups main needs.
- Speed, Agility and Quickness Training – 60 or 90 minute session, these can be vital to improve a players reaction time, stop/start speed and explosive speed.
POSITION-SPECIFIC TRAINING
Position Specific Training is by no means a new idea (Goalkeepers have been trained separately for years). Since the turn of the new millennium, player’s specific roles and responsibilities within the team have changed somewhat. 10 years ago, an outside back’s (left or right defender) responsibility was to maintain the defensive shape, have the ability to challenge and tackle for the ball, and provide cover for the central defenders (i.e. Gary Neville). Now, more and more, an outside back has more freedom and responsibility to help in the final 3rd, offer an unbalanced approach to the offense, and provide good crosses and the odd goal (i.e. Gareth Bale, Ashley Cole). It is with these ‘hyphenate-positions’ in mind, that Diamond Soccer Training offers Position Specific Training.

TEAM TRAINING/PRE-SEASON CAMP (Typical Week)
DAY 1
Creating Space as an Individual
fakes and feints, turns and changes of direction
DAY 2
Creating Space as a Team
2 v 1’s, 2 v 2’s, 3 v 3’s
2 and 3 Player Combinations
Give n go, overlap, 3rd man runs
DAY 3
Crossing, Shooting and Finishing
variations of crosses, different types of shots (chip, driven)
Different types of finishing
(heading, volley, half-volley, rounding the GK)
DAY 4
Individual and Team Defending – 1 v 1 defending
Correct body positioning, angle of approach, etc.
2 and 3 player defending (pressure, cover, balance)
DAY 5
Recap and Scrimmages
Each topic will be delivered in the same way for each day:
Start with a Warm Up with dynamic and static stretching
Technical Unopposed
Players are encouraged to practice under no pressure at all
Technical Semi-Opposed
Players encouraged to practice under passive pressure
Technical Fully Opposed
Game like situations
Conditioned Scrimmage
Restrictions applied to scrimmage so the topic of the day can be reinforced
Scrimmage
Free Play
